Maitre Mohameden Elid is a Mauritanian lawyer who has won historic anti-slavery cases. Mauritania, called "Slavery's Last Stronghold" by CNN, is one of the last countries where race and descent-based slavery is still widespread and tolerated.
Fatimata M'Baye is a Mauritanian lawyer.
She is the founder of the Mauritanian Human Rights Association (AMDH) and her country's first female lawyer.

Dr. William Rogers is a retired history professor from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He has written, researched, and lectured extensively on African life in the diaspora. His major focus of research is on the history of the African American church and family. He currently is the Executive Director of the Black Reality Think Tank, which produces a radio broadcast on the Time for an Awakening radio network out of Philadelphia, Pa’
On Sunday, June 19th he will join a discussion on the origin and significance of recognizing the importance of the Juneteenth holiday.
During the day there will be livestreamed events. Interspersed throughout the day panelists will talk about aspects of the holiday.
